Check out some of our latest reviews! Product Reviews from Ohana Mama Friday, November, 7th Offering hand-made-in-the-USA goods for newborns, babies and even handanas for the older girl or mom, Sew Vermont is so rustic-chic! The perfect combination of earth-friendly gear with a boutique-chic feel, these finds are created by two moms, who've been best-friends since middle school. Together they are realizing their dreams of being mom entrepreneurs all the while offering great organic clothes and accessories for our keiki. They even have tiny cloth reusable totes so that you can start your kids off early in using cloth bags to hold their shopping loot. Available in adorable colors and patterns, I think these would be the perfect way to wrap up a birthday present or holiday gift! Product Reviews from Jo-Jo's Place Sunday, October 26th We were lucky enough to be sent a couple of things to try out. The first item was the My Very First Reusable Shopping Bag! Kelsie loves this. We have started bringing our own shopping bags with us to the stores, so now that Kelsie has her own, she won’t leave home without it when heading to shop. She always gets some little something whether it’s gum, candy or just a small toy. She is always thrilled to hand the cashier her little bag to put her item into. Even if she didn’t end up with something of her very own, something of ours will surely be put into her bag. She just loves it! Plus I love the fact that we are teaching our children early on that recycling and reusing is very important. We also received a couple of the 50/50 Washies. 50% Kid Friendly, 50% Eco Friendly! Made from cute printed flannel and high quality Hemp French Terry they are super soft and just the right size for those little hands. We love Sew Vermont Kids and recommend them to all that are looking for Eco Friendly items! The Maple Baby Blog by Dr. Moz Sunday, October 19th Two topics that I consistently hear people griping about (justifiably I might add) are the economy, and dangerous product recalls. The two may not seem connected at first, but we’re quickly learning that our obsession for the absolute lowest price is driving American manufactures overseas. The cost of doing business is lower thanks to cheap labor and nonexistent environmental regulations, but we’re paying for it in many other ways. If you’re truly tired the endless stream of product recalls, why not do something about it with your economic vote? This holiday season, place your vote for small US-based businesses like Sew Vermont Kids! Run by childhood friends Jess and Missy, Sew Vermont Kids aims to help better the environment by using sustainable organic fabrics. Your investment in their handmade baby hats, funky burp cloths, and reusable shopping bags help support the American economy and they make great gifts. Check them out at SewVermontKids.com and at the Sew Vermont Kids Blog, and don’t forget to tell them that the moose sent ya! Have fun and stay healthy, Dr.MOZ Teach Your Kids to Be Environmentally Friendly With Sew Vermont Products August 26th, 2008 Over a year ago, my husband and I started using reusable bags for our grocery shopping trips.
